My name is Blu, but I also go by Finny on the web. I identify as Non-Binary, AroAce, and Pansexual. My preferred pronouns are They/Them. I'm a 22-year-old independent performance artist. I produce a large variety of content, as I like to be experimental. I've been drawing since I was a kid, and pursuing a professional art career since 2016. Thank you for checking out my work! I hope you are as passionate about it as I am.
I identify as an adventurer, like my favorite cartoon character Finn The Human. I get most of my inspiration from shows like Adventure Time, Gravity Falls, Bluey, and more. Another large inspiration of mine is Japanese culture; you'll see a likeness featured in my art. I am slowly learning Japanese as my second language! I model my filming content after Unus Annus & Game Grumps, but sadly, I don't have the luxury of a duo. Im just me, doing the best I can. They are huge inspirations to me; the inevitability of Unus Annus and the timelessness of Game Grumps, when meshed together, create something beautiful. I enjoy embarking on new adventures and learning about the world we live in through the lens of a camera. Climb on in, and we can explore together!
Odin - My Best Friend
It would be easier to list what I don't do! What I'm most prominently known for is my illustration work and my wearable artworks, which are the main highlights of this page. However, my favorite things to do are writing and getting behind a camera! I love filming.
I also love to create wearable works of art for the furry community. This has opened up a lot of experimental artistic opportunities for me, as I have always had a passion for sewing stuffed animals since I was 12. Costumes are a lot different than a toy! I still consider myself a beginner, and struggle with my disabilities and sewing (I have a medical fainting condition that gets triggered by needles! How fun for a very needle-focused hobby, *sigh*), but love every new character I make and put my absolute best effort into everything. I'm looking forward to new creative opportunities opening up as I traverse the furry fandom!
I have an interest in just about anything. From wanting to pursue the law, to accounting, to glassmaking, to fishing, my goal is to do everything I possibly can, and learn as much as we can along the way. Maybe, if we're lucky, we might make a few friends.
Who Am I? It's a question I don't think I'll ever be able to have a consistent answer for. I am Me. I am a constant change. My gender identity reflects this belief, as I identify as Non-Binary. I call the Pacific Northwest my home! My best friend is a Great Dane named Odin! Our favorite things to do are going on walks, especially to the beach, and eating tons of bakery goodies! I also have two black kittens named Crow and Vinny. A witch needs her kitties!
I practice Spirituality and Witchcraft, and attend a Coven. My practice has helped bridge gaps between the unknown and open my eyes to new possibilities. A lot of my practice work is integrated into my daily life and routine, as you may see demonstrated on my page. You'll find spellwork, candles, and handmade crafts in my shop! I am also exploring the worlds of Zen, Shinto, Hinduism, and Buddhism.
In my professional life, I have a full-time job at an Alcohol Distribution company as an Accountant. Surprisingly, I love numbers! You'll find me draped over a spreadsheet most likely every day. I'm who gets your booze billed and on the shelves! My job does tend to get in the way of me pursuing my art career, but thankfully, I'm more than determined to pursue both at the same time! I'm also in and out of college, taking classes towards my Associate's degree in between projects. Your support helps more than you know!
I struggle with a few disabilities, including but not limited to Anxiety, Depression, ADHD, and C-PTSD. My artwork often resonates with my emotional state, easily influenced by such. This inspires me to create a large variety of works, from depressing to sunny. I go about the struggles of life with these hindrances, as they influence my artistic works. I utilize art as my biggest form of emotional expression, and I am very pleased to be able to share my perspective and story with the world, and hopefully it might help someone who needs it.
As a child, I spent most of my days creating. Whether it be writing storybooks, filming on my 2DS, or drawing comics, I've always had the creative drive. I strive to be artistically challenged in life, so I can make constant and new improvements. I saw it as an escape from the crude reality around me, creating those fantasy worlds in my head was so much better than real life.
I had never witnessed something as unique to me as my first experience with the show Gravity Falls. This show would still to this day have an influence on my current actions and possess a continuing influence on my future. This was the first time in my life that I had ever had an epiphany about what I wanted my future to be. It wasn't just a simple “I like this.”. This was the very first time I had mumbled the inspiring phrase, “I want to make something like this.”
We (My Family & I) have been significantly struggling for the last few years since COVID. In 2021, my mother was diagnosed with Stage 4 Breast Cancer. I also lost my home, and my family was forced to leave the state. In addition to this, I experienced severe bullying from an entire group over the course of 2-3 years and an abusive-grooming partnership. I escaped, but not unscathed. I experienced a relapse in my depression recovery (suicide attempt) in early 2025 as a result. I have been in recovery since then, having newfound motivation and inspiration for life.
"Every event that befalls me is the best possible event." - Chris Prentiss (Zen and the Art of Happiness)
I am an overachiever, and I wish to succeed early in life so that my mom is able to see my accomplishments before she passes. The cancer was stage four, which is unlikely to be curable. I also wish to provide enough for my large family so that we’ll be okay on our own and don't need help from anyone else. I want to feel accomplished in life and achieve something that will exist long after I die. Being able to create pieces of art that are inspired off of this past to work towards a brighter future is an amazing opportunity that I am very thankful to have! I am so appreciative of all the opportunities I've had thus far, and am looking forward to what comes next!
Who's ready for the next adventure?
